CONNECTIONS FOR WOMEN IN MATHEMATICAL GENERAL RELATIVITY 


What is it?

This is a platform including a directory of women in mathematical general relativity. It lists female scientists holding a tenure, tenure track or postdoc position. 

Their contact information, research interests and personal websites are collected and updated. 

 

Goals.

To facilitate interaction among female scientists in the field. 

To make known to the community contacts and research of underrepresented groups in the field. 

 

Whom it is for.

1. Are you fond of mathematics, analysis, geometry and general relativity? Do you wonder how a career in these areas looks like? Should you study these topics and pursue an academic degree? Have you asked yourself if a woman's career is very different from a man's career? How many female scientists are in these fields and what are their stories? Then look what excellent science these women are doing! And it's fun. If you like science, then go for it! 

2. Are you a female student or researcher at an early step of the career? Do you wonder who else is out there and how other women achieved their goals? Check out what these women are doing and how they accomplished to overcome hurdles on the way. 

3. Are you a conference organizer and would like to have a fair gender representation, but you do not know of anybody to fit your agenda? There are many more of us than you think. We are sure that you will find someone among the people listed on this website to make a great contribution to your conference.
